The Friends & Foundation of the Rochester Public Library (FFRPL) is the 501(c)(3) charity that raises funds, presents programs, supports special projects, helps create specialized spaces, and purchases supplemental materials & equipment for the Library.
We expand Library resources to best serve the community, and help amplify Library messaging about programs, services, collections, and technologies.
Supporting the Monroe County Library System is our focus. Historically, we have primarily served the Rochester Public Library (Central Library downtown and ten urban branches).
Beginning in FY2021-22, we expanded our geographical reach for increased community impact. We now also provide supplemental materials funding to the OWWL Library System (Ontario, Wayne, Wyoming, and Livingston counties) and the Nioga Library System (Niagara, Orleans and Genesee counties).
Support FFRPL through financial donations, book donations, and volunteer service.
