Friends & Foundation of the Rochester Public Library

  Annual Campaign

A contribution to the annual campaign of the Friends & Foundation of the Rochester Public Library will help provide enhanced services above and beyond the Library’s annual operating budget.

The Central Library is one of the most significant educational institutions in this area. The Library provides services to all citizens regardless of economic level, age, disability or education. Patrons can access services 24 hours a day at www.libraryweb.org, visit the Central Library in person or use the delivery service to have specific books from any Monroe County library delivered to their town or branch library. The Central Library is also a place to join your neighbors at a wide array of programming including book discussion groups, book reviews, concerts, art exhibits, local history lectures and children’s programs. You can create a resume at the Job Information Center or develop a business plan at our unique Small Business Center. Checkout the library’s home page for program schedules, open hours and other library information or follow us on Facebook and Twitter.

Donors receive notices of programs, 10% discount on new items at The Library Store and admission to special Friends & Foundation-only previews of the Central Library Huge Used Book Sale. Donors of $50 or more may choose a complimentary subscription to Rochester History magazine. Donors of $100 or more may additionally request a bookplate in a new library book. Donors of $250 and more additionally will be invited to a luncheon with the Library Director. Donors of $500 and more additionally will be invited to special tours and events. Donors of $1000 and more additionally will be invited to the annual Publishers’ Circle Library Celebration Dinner.

The economic climate and uncertainty of government funding means that we need you now, as never before, to join us in ensuring a strong future for the Central Library.
